Anyone else noticed that 'man' disappeared from the old scoreboard at the Riverside during last season, leaving the label 'last' for one of the windows?

Wokey, wokey!!!!

Aye. But does it actually matter that they’re called player of the match?
It's mildly irritating woke as was your (presumably) sarcastic response to the original comment.

I suppose that's understandable given the scoreboard serves both men and women's matches.

Does it really matter at all, the best player/man gets the award for performing best in the match.

Whether it’s called man of the match or player of the match is surely nothing to be to bothered about either way.
It's certainly nothing to be bothered about but equally why alter the tradition of man of the. match? Likewise why has a batsman now become a batter? Women's cricket existed for ages without the need for any change in tradition.
What does annoy though is a catch now being referred to as a grab.

None of it’s as bad as having to refer at work to calling it the festive season rather than Christmas, but that’s different story altogether 😁

I live in the West Midlands and a few years ago Birmingham Council decided in their infinite wisdom to rename it Winterval

In Islam, Jesus is revered as one of their main Prophets, only behind their main main Mo irrc. So Muslims should have absolutely no problem with Christians celebrating the birth of JC in a Christian country.

Unless that is, your teachings come from the stricter sect emanating from Saudi Arabia. Where they don't do birthdays or any other sort of iconography. The desecration of religious and cultural sites by these people have been appalling.

So, if it's not Muslims who have a problem with Christmas being called Christmas, who does?
