Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

This lad has it , direct , can go on either foot
Raw but he has it
Got to keep him
For a 25 minute period he finally played without having shackles on which is what he'd been doing in previous starts. He was apprehensive and doing things simple rather than playing his natural game.

Started like that tonight but suddenly decided to play his own natural game and had success.

Mepham red card sent him back into apprehensive mode and drifted out of the game in the 2nd half.

Certainly a talent but feel he'd be much more effective for us coming on off the bench for last 20/25 minutes.

Disagree
I’d start the lad every game
He’s one to watch

If he plays without the shackles then fair enough. Plays inside his shell then bench is best for him. Defensively he needs to work harder and be stronger in the tackle. Got knocked off the ball quite a lot and positional awareness was poor. Running with the ball towards goal he's exciting. Wish he'd stop shooting from daft angles or when he's crowded out.

Unfortunately, with Mundle being injured, we don't have the option of bringing him on from the bench.

I thought he was quite strong
Game time will bring him on

Nemo I think this lad has the package

Me too mate. He can go both ways, cross the ball, finish, he's always positive and never tires of running at players. He's a big lad and when he grows into his body he'll take some stopping. I watched him every opportunity and he's the best of our lads coming through IMO. No guarantees in football but with the right guidance he looks like he could be some player.

RLB perservered with him after the tough learning curve against WBA.....
3 days later, tonight... you can see he's going to thrive already.
Really encouraging stuff Tommy, well done lad.

Nah, let him get on with it. Some of his finishes at lower levels are top class. He'll learn.
