Nissan

At the metro centre now was a row of about 20 chargers only 1 getting used you don’t need to charge it every single time you go somewhere that’s what people need to get their heads around .
The average annual mileage is 7k/135 miles a week, that's one charge a week for a car with a poor range or once a fortnight for a one with a good range.

They're probably in the stats as not being able to charge at home when in fact the majority could quite easily.
Not sure what you mean like, but for e.g. houses at Farra Thorney Plainsy etc etc mostly have brick walls out front with only gated access. Would you class this type of housing as being able to charge. I grant you, it's do-able, but not without straddling public footpaths

Imagine all the claims going in for trips and falls from all the cables across the paths from all those 1000's of terraced cottages we have in Sunderland alone.
How many have tripped over hover cables, jet wash cables, hose pipes etc and made claims?

Those same footpaths that 90% of the cars on the estate spend the vast majority of thier lives. Some ones even got a motorhome fully packed on the path..😆
Not many people have these items out there unattended. Charging cables would be.
Fair point. Is the way forward let folk to do it if they baby sit the cable/charger? Red triangles?

Parking at work or shop etc, plugging in, tapping your card then going about your business is slightly quicker and is much cheaper than refueling. Once a week for an average mileage/ in an average leaf (some excellent deals on these albeit the ugly sister). Everyone spends over 40 mins somewhere every week with a charger (download one of the charger map apps and be surprised how many there actually are). And if you have a drive like most do, even easier.... Although I did it without for a couple years. I understand people are used to ICE and will take longer to convert, but will have to one day as ICE fuels will not last forever, where as refuelling a car with renewable energy.... Im not a gaffer on a big salary, just a normal bloke on the lines and I'm certainly enjoying the overall cost savings.

The ones with short fronts would struggle.Twickenham road there's a square/cul de sac where all 12 have bigger drives and they've got drives some enough 3-4:cars and no signs of a charger at least on the outside,2 are loaded with solar panels anarl.

Some man staff were temporary team leaders and some team leaders were temporary supervisors. All going back to original roles
Dunno where you’ve heard this but how would this possibly benefit the company in any capacity? It’s not a massive cost for stand ins both TL and SVR.

Ev chargers are built into street lighting shell ubitricity. No problems just challenges and for people with half a brain they can be solved. Location of the property plays a part but not a major issue

this lack of ability to charge at home is just nonsense. how many people have an oil refinery in their garden. its a crap argument to use to beat EVs with.

the bottom line is an EV costs too much. only a select few have the additional coin lying about to throw at an EV instead of a similar sized non-EV car
They don't need an oil refinery, they can nip to shell and be done in 5 minutes.

How long does an EV charger take?

They will go back online to replace temps
Headcount for stand ins wouldn’t equate to those on temp contracts. So you’ve just plucked that from nowhere.

100% happening in Press, plastics Ed plant from 4th of January. No idea of reasoning?
Fair enough mate, I didn’t see your last comment about certain areas. Just saw your one about all stand ins. Shit crack for those lads like.
