Car Crash 16.4…

This has been posted on the footy forum but could have some relevance of they decide they aren't interested in investing in the 16.4. Could be a huge own goal for the ECB...and Bostock who has been cozying up to them.

Cricket’s more an Emirati thing than a Saudi thing, isn’t it? Bostock never sounded remotely convincing to me when he suggested he was getting the latter interested, even when they were still spending money.

We were told that the world was awaiting to step in and buy up the Hundred and lavish £100s of millions to save English cricket

Well Hampshire are now Indian controlled , where are all these billionaires looking to take over Glamorgan etc etc ?

Yeah the offers aren't exactly rolling in.

How do you make a small fortune out of county cricket?

Answer - start with a large fortune.

By been invited and entering tournaments abroad and Hampshire made more money from that 1 tournament than 3 years of county cricket.

County cricket is dead let's face it, it will be international leagues now on 12 months a year.

Which tournament is this?

If you mean the Global Super League, this tournament doesn't start until later this week.

They will all get bought unfortunately

It’s the biggest loads of bollocks ever. Hate it so much.

I doubt it will see the supposed 100s of millions

Hampshire are now an Indian team and they will be controlled in a manner that suits Indian fans

Lords may get bought but I would bet a months takeaway budget that Glamorgan won’t be

They’ll all get bought eventually like mate sorry

Be interesting to see

The 100 is a format that is simply not going to fly

The USA t20 in the English midsummer is already taking the stars away

Indian owners are concerned with Indian tv coverage and fans so Hampshire will be styled for them

It will eventually ruin cricket in England

They’ll switch back to 20 overs but keep the 100 name is my prediction

Viewership and live crowds declining year on year too.

Not like the ECB to dig themselves into a hole.

It’s both funny, but telling in the other way too. They’re not threatening to boycott the Blast because most of them don’t play in it anyway and no one gives a shit about the few who do.

English domestic cricket is ruined either way I fear.
