I doubt he would get into Durham's team.The only place would be Robinson's and with North/Campbell advocates of Bazball they'd pick Robinson every time.
That being the Robinson prior to his end of season form.

Ben Foakes is a class act he wouldn’t get into our side tho.
 
I think he would get in for his batting alone but he wouldn't get in ahead of Robinson for the same reason he cant get picked for England ahead of Smith. Durham want a game changing batsman as their keeper rather than a good conventional accumulator.

No I wasn’t arguing to start with and I was disputing your claim he can’t keep in tests, he has and did it well

Foakes is an absolutely brilliant wicketkeeper arguably the best in the world!

But he a victim of the modern cricket world where every single country bar none puts batting skills for a keeper above keeping skills.

He can’t score quick runs like Smith when in with the tail and he wouldn’t play for England again

Comfortably ahead of the current signing such as Gay and Rhodes. Also the likes of SB, Clark etc

Carse and Potts may be withdrawn by England so their places would likely be filled by deLeede and Coughlin.

I agree there should be a slot in the top 6 for him or another young batsmen but they have effectively spent the money they are saving with the 4 central contracts on signing seasoned batsmen from other counties and also an overseas batsmen. Rhodes Ackermann Robinson and Gay won't have come cheap.

I dont agree with it myself, feel we are losing our identity a bit, but i know people dont agree with me on that
