Boro thread

Which decent teams have Sunderland beaten?
No need to bite marra
Think you will be in and around the play offs -as I’m hoping will we .
Safc have beaten Burnley and you lot ( who I think are both good wins ?)
Be interesting-we’ve done very well considering our injury list.
Long long way left

“Is Carrick Under Pressure?”

Don’t see anyone saying he should be sacked.

I was responding to them saying boro haven’t beaten anyone decent and will be back to mid-table as soon as they do. So you’ve helped prove a point. Sunderland have beaten one of the top 6, boro two.
There were several threads including the match thread where a lot of posters were saying he should go
Boro fans starting to get back on here after a couple of good wins. (Again bottom of the league shite) So predictable.
Boro can be a good passing side, but you’ve got a soft underbelly and are wildly inconsistent. Reckon you’ll finish between 5th and 10th.

See the Boro muppets are up in arms as we apparently haven’t noticed they are now world beaters with the team of Bergcamp and Zidane replacements. Well they have beaten Oxford Luton and QPRI suppose, where we only took a piss poor 7 points. Apparently our collapse is well under way. It’s quite amusing how when we are having a good run then it will end soon but when they are then there’s no end in sight!

Apparently it will all go to shit “when injuries and suspensions kick in” ….because we didn’t get a point at the form team of the league with 6 regular first teamers missing. Yes 6 starters (Hume, Roberts, Cirkin, Mundle Jobe, Browne for you FMTTM lurkers) not exactly bit part players. 9 games away and 7 at home will balance out when we play 3 of the next 4 at fortress SOL.

Oh and the reason this thread is 223 pages long and over a season is that we put all the shite in one place, rather than having 3 threads about Sunderland on your opening page every week!!

Anyway, it’s good to see Carrick is now savior again after you all wanted him out after a 0-3 hone defeat against Coventry.

For the record I think Boro are a pretty good outfit but don’t think they have much steel, which will show when they have tougher games than the last three. “Only” a five point gap now though eh…and lots of players back Tuesday for us. Mind the Gap 🤣

Absolute spanners to a man.

Their xG is starting to pay off now, they're taking their chances and handing out some beatings. Granted they barely created a chance against us after we took the lead.

They are flying and still 5 points behind us.
Obviously playing well but against QPR Oxford and Luton…..
Youdve thought they were beating Real Madrid yesterday not Oxford way my phone was gan off from my mutant marras
All back then Hank. 🤣 they’ll all be back here soon enough and disappear again when it’s not so rosy…..

Boro will be up there come May...they are a good side.....they havent got the points their performances deserve.

Its all about fine margins in games in this league.....the points totals will level out with all teams eventually....id say Us and Boro will be close to the same points come end of season

Been like that for the past 50 years I’ve knan them marra

Best ones used to say I’ve been going to smoggys games since mannion was playing

Same bloke was sat in club with me at their last home game 😂

Doing well aren't they, although their last three wins have been against relegation battlers, they've done well to score that many. Couple of good wins before they got thumped off Coventry n all. They'll be in the play off mix along with Sunderland for sure.

Get Real Madrid more like! For what it's worth I share your pain having been bombarded with text and WhatsApp messages from Middlesbrough supporting colleagues on the latter part of my train journey south yesterday afternoon - one simply stating 'The joy of six'. At least I'm not in work tomorrow which is a Brucie Bonus ... hoping they've calmed down by Tuesday.

Easy to distort the 'facts' like.
We've also beaten Sheffield United and West Brom, and if I remember correctly you didn't beat QPR .
Looking at your results, the only 'fancied' team you've beaten (imo) is Burnley.

Not one Boro fan that I know is saying we're 'world beaters' and on the Sunderland/Millwall thread on FMTTM I can only see one post mentioning that your fans have stopped posting on this thread - which is a fair point considering you lot make a thing about us 'hiding' when things aren't going well - Sunderland fans post about us when we're getting beat, but less so when we win - similar to our lot (but vice versa) really.

Carrick - I'd say he has the backing of the vast majority of us, yes there's concerns about inconsistencies (as any fan base would), but the majority can see he's decent and is pulling us in the right direction.

Twist stuff to suit your weird agenda as much as you like, but if your team had just won 3 on the bounce, scoring fifteen goals in the process, I'm pretty sure there'd be a clamour on here for the championship trophy to be awarded already.

Supporters of all clubs get carried away with a good (and bad) run, it's the nature of being a football fan.
But, you make out that we all think we're world beaters one minute and all want Carrick out the next - it's not true.
We're just like supporters of any club (including yours), a cross section of human nature.

All I've ever said about it all is that it's a long old season and you were above us the last two seasons early on too.
