Test Series :: Australia v India

Someone needs to stick in mate. Build a partnership from somewhere.

I haven't had a chance to put it on yet. What's the wicket been like? Pace and bounce I take it.
Well he managed two runs from 52 balls.

I think people are starting to recalibrate their expectations of him. He was touted as being in the same bracket as Root, Smith et al but he’s nowhere near that class. I think he averages 32 with one hundred from his last 22 Tests or something.

I think any good player in form looks to score runs no matter what the situation.

Marnus is shockingly out of form by the looks of it. If occupation of the crease for 40odd balls, wasn't enough to kick on.

India well on top now.

You don’t want a number 3 just to occupy the crease

There’s an argument for the first 20 balls maybe, but even then he was dropped

I don’t rate him myself
Wow mental scorecard

Saw they were 150 all out, didn't expect a similar performance from the Aussies with the bat.

He got dropped second ball on 0 and put on 2 from 52 balls.

What the actual fuck

Didn’t show any intent to ever score, so not sure at what point he thought he would

I get the point of course, but when wickets are flying with the new ball it has some merit. Particularly if he’s seeing off Bumrah who is different class

Funny to see the snake cracks backfire on Australia. The state of test wickets is becoming a farce.

Not really seen any of this so far - crap wicket or just good bowling and batters not able to deal with it? 150 all out playing 67-7 suggests the wicket is dodgy.

A lively pitch with plenty in it for the bowlers, if they are disciplined and bowl a fullish length. A 'Scott Boland/Matthew Potts' type of wicket.

Seeing off Bumrah I mean, he can only bowl so much

I don’t disagree with you in general

True yeah

Saying that he got out to the other lad like

Bit annoyed at this strangely wanted a good 4 or 5 day tussle

This will be over on day 3 latest

Seemed to fly through high even when bowling fuller
Only been 11 innings in the history of cricket to face 50+ balls at a lower SR

Pretty sure all of them are bowlers and lot of them in 3rd and 4th innings.

Yeah it’s got a place on situations just not really sure what he was trying to do.

Good attack mind

England aren’t perfect but you’d have fancied them to get a score in that situation
