Originally chose the women’s big bash over this today because it would’ve been a better spectacle, but the rain halted that. So t10 it is. Glad too, because there has been such a comical period of play.

Lbw given despite the ball being half a mile outside leg, review it, 3rd ump (English, not sure who) was busy doing something else, didn’t realise there was a review, assumed it was originally not out, didn’t even know what the review was for, overturns. Should’ve been dead ball and no runs, but they give the leg byes and the other batsman faces next ball. Shambles.

Edit.. Nigel Llong the 3rd ump, so not exactly inexperienced.

4 games today with a few Engliah players involved

Nice to see Dominic Cork on commentary

I don't think I've ever seen a game in the UAE with the ground more than 10% full, yet more and more tournaments are being played there.

You seen that no ball today? Obvious fixing

A journo made a good point, why are England players allowed to play in this and why aren’t they getting criticism for it

If I was Rob Key I’d say IpL, South Africa t20 fine, but playing in these dodgy games which were only created for Indian bookmakers, no, don’t offer them a central contract

There's no other cricket on they've been selected for and to earn ££££ i would imagine, oh and the warm weather

Buttler 60 not out in 22 balls today

But they’re playing in games which are corrupt

They are free to play but those on central contracts shouldn’t be allowed

It’s like they want best of both

This was the journo, I agree with him

A clip of the no ball, it makes the Amir no ball look like a close call

It’s mental

Few journos always mention on pods that they hear stories but just don’t wanna stay

Problem with that tournament in particular is you have Buttler n co on a fortune, but “local” players, sometimes who have actual jobs, also playing. It’s rife for corruption

The lad who bowled that no ball is a 36yo who has played a total of 7 professional games in his career.

You've also got a few Pakistani born players in this tournament who have yet to play a recognised first class, list-A or T20 game. They will be easy pickings for fixers on the Indian/far east betting exchange.

It's a bit embarrassing that a good amount of our white ball side are in this, I can't see their skills improving playing alongside barely semi-pro locals.

I think they should be embarrassed that they’re thst desperate for money they’d play In this

It’s really poor on their part

This is an embarrassment to the sport of cricket. A wholly predictable embarrassment to the sport if cricket, but an embarrassment nonetheless.

It’s quite amusing watching numpties like Cork and O’Brien try to big this up when you can tell the players just don’t give a shit.
