Chris Rigg

Not many mins....his premier league pitch time amounts to 44 mins so far this season in 3 sub appearances all about a month apart each time.

I may be wrong but Rigg doesnt strike me as the type where he would be moving for the pay day...he strikes me as one that will want to be featuring on a regular basis to continue developing.

You go further up the ladder and you probably expect less minutes or to be a squad player, especially that talent Chelsea have at their disposal.

Cole Palmer could have sat and waited for his opportunity at Man City. I doubt Man City or even Chelsea though he was going to be the main man in their team. Clearly, Palmer backed himself to move and make an impact.

If say Man United came in for Chris Rigg, he'd have to give that some real serious thought about where he sees himself. Personally, I'd say stay with us and improve, but that lad plays with some king Kong sized balls for his age, and he'd probably back himself to move to a club of that size and force his way in.
He was 25 at the time and still made a poor choice. Chelsea are a car crash of a club and have been ever since Ambramovic left.

Aye, 3rd in the league and probably be on somewhere around 70k a week (if not more).

I bet the lad is gutted he left Leicester.

It depends on what you want from your career.

I wouldn't be happy only making 3 league substitute appearances in 3 months but each to their own 🤑

Well clearly he was happy to join. I very much doubt he was promised a start every week. He's featured 10 times in 18 games, and he'll no doubt feature as time goes on or he'll move on. Its not been a bad move for him.

How do you reckon Aleksic is feeling having moved to us and not played a minute for the first team and not even featuring for the U23's? Would you have told him not to bother coming and to stay where he was developing?

Aleksic is 19.

And Rigg is younger with bigger clubs after him.

It'll be hard for any of our lads to turn their noses up at the prospect of playing at the top level. It'll also be hard for the club to turn down the kind of money that will be offered.
I think they're trying to get to that level with Sunderland AFC, unless I'm mistaken.
Just to counter your ideas that you think you know how our young players think / or that they all want to leave at the first opportunity.
