*~*~* Preston v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

A couple of nice touches early on but looks physically way off.

The entire side have been poor. Take another ground out result on the road however. Amassing points on the road is a good habit irrespective of performance quality

Needs to either, go on the left, ie Connelly off, Isadore cente Roberts on the right.
Or he comes off... struggling atm tbf

Poor half that. Watson been quiet and no rhythm in midfield.

Would like to see Roberts or mindre on at half time for Connolly or Watson.

We seem to struggle against a back 3/5, the press just isnt on. Need to be more assertive on the ball and take control of the game in the middle.

Not sure we are going to gel in this new system. I thought it was drastic and odd when I saw it. You never want to play your best player out of his best position (Isidor), especially when you don't have to.

At least we have Mundle and Roberts to come on and make an impact if need be.

Keep it level until half time and we can pull ourselves together and come out better and win this. Really tired of these away games though.

Come on SAFC!
Isidor not great on the left so far but we just have no control. Our press is being bypassed easily. Hopefully RLB knows why and will change it.

Tommy Watson just isn't ready yet for this league a bit unfair to keep him on, Connelly just well isn't fit to play for a pub team. Changes at halftime get some shape back keep the ball better and win this 2-0

Changes haven’t worked at all. Connolly offering nothing, Isodor similar out wide and he’s nowhere as near as effective tracking back as Mundle.
Desperately missing Jobe too
