Erm, how’s this little gem escaped scrutiny?
Her mam does housework when she’s looking after the bairns. Irons me works shirts & stuff. Sometimes it’s helpful. Sometimes it’s not

B*stards on zebra crossings when I'm on the push bike . im the only thing approaching the crossing , why would you bring me to a halt , just start to walk over as i ride through you wont be anywhere near me , or wait the two seconds 'til im gone, there's nothing behind me.
If you must stop me at least look like your getting on with it , dont just keep your fat, dawdling, phone gazing slouch up .

No am i fuck , why would you stop a push bike you can easily walk behind on clear road . i guess your answer will be " im entitled to" .
Wow. I’m genuinely shocked by you.
Do other rules of the road not apply to cyclists such as yourself, or is the exceptionalism just restricted to zebra crossings?

Its not about rules . In that specific circumstance its about one person recognising the fractional adjustment they have to make ( none) , to save a more substantial effort on the part of another . Its consideration over entitlement. Do you never give way in your car when its your right of way ? . Im guessing not, Audi or Beamer by the way ?
Or just wave the bike through and start to walk as it passes if youre entering from the bikes right , it will be gone by the time youre there, everyone keeps moving . But no the world stops for " cos i can @PhilY "
Im not talking about generally busy roads here mind , i mean roads where theres f*ck all on them but me and probably wont be for another 30 seconds plus.

Perhaps.I do give way sometimes - and I would sometimes indicate to an oncoming cyclists that they can pass - but the rule is that (all) traffic comes to a halt if a pedestrian is waiting at a zebra.
I don’t think confusing that with the ‘except solo cyclists IF there is no other traffic’ exception is helpful or safe to be honest.
I disagree. He’s prioritising his needs over pedestrians.

Courtesy is one thing and is in the gift of the pedestrian, in this case, to bestow or not.
It is not courtesy for the poster to assume that he can have right of way - or to rail against pedestrians who choose not to provide that courtesy.
