We weren't awful - Boro' played better when they went down to 10 men for about 15-20 minutes, then faded )not helped by a misfiring front line) The ref was poor (for both sides) Once he sent Hackney off, he started booking players for fun, and looked like he was losing it at one point.

Hayden Hackney being compared to Rigg is ridiculous. He’s 5 years older than him and should by all accounts be the better player currently. He isn’t, and there’s reasons the biggest clubs in world football are watching Rigg, but yet the Boro fans are still in the replies :lol:

Yes I know you owe us one - a week ago, most of us were bracing ourselves for a thumping, but perhaps less so now. If we beat Derby midweek, we'll at least head up to yours with more confidence, as our early season form was poor. Only Leeds have impressed me this season (of those we have played) so if you can sign Henderson - or similar-in the window, you have a decent chance of promotion.

I thought you were one of the best teams we've played so far this season up until the sending off. I felt after that you let us have the ball knowing we'd tire ourselves out and then just picked us off on the counter.

Good support. Got chatting to a lovely couple before the game. They said "we hate Sunderland almost as much as you lot do" 😉

It's weird, nobody ever mentions Middlesbrough to us, it's always Newcastle.
