Thing is a chest infection can present as a cardiac problem, so they've really get no option but to rule out anything more serious. As it happens, it looks like it is an infection, and it's now a matter of how quickly he can shrug it off.

Far better than an abnormality (like biscuspid aortic valve) or arrhythmi.

I know irregularities can slip through the net but you would have thought the club will have done exhaustive testing before offering pro contract to such an obviously valuable asset . The insurers might even demand it ?

It’s not that, it just winds me up because I would never say anything for a rise or just for clout etc. but when the person who I do get my genuine info from (as proven on here) sends me a message along the lines of “this 100% is true, and I have heard it’s because of this but I don’t know if that bit is true or not but…” then I’ll believe him and take it at face value. Maybe I shouldn’t pass things on until they are 100% confirmed. But for people to say I’m scaremongering etc. it’s just a joke. Would be fair enough if I was one of the known gobshites who like to stir but this genuinely wasn’t the case.

I’ll apologise for opening my mouth but sometimes on this board you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hope he's feeling better. Word on social media is Rigg has chest infection and might be missing for Preston also. Let's hope he is available for Wednesday's game.

RLB said he's no doctor but Rigg should be back in training next week so looks like he's out for Wednesday at least

I'm in the NHS and yes there will be an investigation, but it will be almost impossible to find out who's said what because multiple staff are involved in a patient assessment. It actually happens often with high profile patients like celebrities and prisoners. Staff go home and say "don't tell anybody but you'll never guess who we treated today", many people find it very difficult to not say anything. If specific info like diagnosis and treatment get leaked though then that's come from a select couple of staff, ie specialists and consultants, but they are higher calibre positions and take confidentiality more seriously than say receptionists, porters, and nurses.

It's also likely that SAFC staff told people too.

I also work for the NHS and have looked after a few "high profile" patients. I weighed in because people were talking about other NHS staff seeing Rigg and also giving reasons for him being in hospital.

That specific info on diagnosis isn't reserved for "higher caliber staff". Anyone who has a clinical role of care can see that information.

My only intention was to stop the speculation.

Whoever has leaked about him being at hospital and then mentioned about chest pains wants to be shot with shit. Hope to god it isn't true but where is the human decency in all of this? If true it's a private matter ffs. This thread should be deleted. It's f***ing embarrassing as a safc fan for this kind of stuff to be speculated about a kid.
