Yes but “it was going to get out anyway” doesn’t actually excuse breach of confidentiality. It’s unbelievably piss poor

That's not what's being said though. It's one thing seeing someone in a hospital and making assumptions another thing altogether saying you know someone who works there and knows the details

hope the lads okay, but hopefully nothing serious. I’ve been referred to the cardiac unit at the hospital before just for a panic attack so every chance there is absolutely nothing in it

Players have as much a right to privacy as the rest of us. If it is true it's for him and the club to decide if and when the public are informed.
