West Indies v England: ODI Series

SuperSub

Midfield
Can't see a thread for this game, and the lack of interest isn't a surprise as it feels like we play a white ball series every 6 months in the Windies.

West Indies win the toss and bowl first

England: Phil Salt (wk), Will Jacks, Jordan Cox, Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone (capt), Sam Curran, Dan Mousley, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer, John Turner
Windies: Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Keacy Carty, Shai Hope (capt and wk), Sherfane Rutherford, Shimron Hetmyer, Alzarri Joseph, Roston Chase, Gudakesh Motie, Matthew Forde, Jayden Seales

Genuinely didn’t even realise this was happening today.

I hope this isn’t the continuation of the Jamie Overton specialist batsman experiment either.

Both Jacks and Salt struggled with pace off the ball, no timing at all throughout the powerplay - 46-2 in the 11th

Top 5 wicket takers in their first class comp earlier this year were all spinners, sadly seam friendly pitches seems to be a thing of the past in the Caribbean
Remember going to Barnsley away under Buxton and getting hammered 4-0. Got back on the bus and England were being skittled for 46 by Ambrose and Walsh.

I think the pitches were starting to get dangerous by then, rather than just quick. The Jamaica Test in '98 only lasted 10 overs.

The Jamaica test was a bad pitch, it wasn’t the pace of it mind

Will give it a watch with John Turner selected, he looks the real deal, hopefully he’s another upcoming star.
About bloody time they picked him. Been in a few squads now.

As I predicted on the bots thread the batting lineup is missing a few batsman.

All rounders from 4 is an absolutely stupid team.
