Boro thread

Ayling has been chased by championship Leeds. He's basically a typical 'hard man' Leeds type of limited ability. McCree average player. Conway is a bloke who was pulling up no trees at mid table Bristol.

Boro have an average squad, playing average football, with an average manager, in an average spot in the table.
I think Ayling was a good full back in his day, but he looks slow to me now.

Disagree with your assessment of Boro though, I think they will be in the top 6 at the end of the season.

Could be anywhere in the top 6 I think. I think Leeds will go up automatically and I think us, Boro and Burnley will be top 6 somewhere. The rest I am not convinced, Sheffield United have underwhelmed a bit.
Ironically Sheffield United are a better version of Boro at present. Don't score or concede many.

You need to remember they would be 2nd without the 2 points deduction.

They certainly aren't a shoe-in for top 6 like. The top 8 or 9 is extremely competitive (could make a case for any of them). That's why us having such a good start is so important as there aren't any really outstanding candidates as opposed to last year.

Well we kind of did that with Morgan Rogers.

We're hoping that Micah Hamilton will prove to be another great find. He hasn't set the world alight yet but neither did Rogers last season until nearer the christmas period.

McGree is a brilliant footballer and is key to how we play when fit. He drifts in from the left and the opposition struggle to pick him up because he's so good at finding those pockets of space.

It was his intelligence to take up this position on the edge of the box that was key in the lead up to Hackney's goal vs WBA.

I can still remember you embarrassing yourself around this time last year, when you questioned whether any Boro players would get into Sunderland's side. A few months later we were ahead of you in the table.

Just remember there's still a lot of games to be played this season.
