Milan Aleksic - Confirmed

3.7m euro fee suggests we expect him to have an impact now?
At the fee paid and he's the same age as Bellingham and two years older than Rigg you would have thought so.
Although i seem to remember talk about bedding him into a new Club and Country.
But then again he's been on the bench a lot.
Could have an impact as the season grows.

He’s a teenager who has just moved to a new country, who needs time to acclimatise to a different culture and a new much tougher league. He’s clearly very highly rated and the club have deemed it better for him to stick around the 1st team rather then dropping down and playing u21 football. I have full trust in how the club handle young players as their current record speaks for its self.
Lihadji?

He was when we signed him. He'd been playing for his club and just called up the the Serbia senior squad.

He's definitely not been injured as he's on the bench every game.

3 months later though and he's not kicked a ball in anger even for the u21s so he's probably lacking match fitness now.
He’s played for the u21s, hasn’t he?

We’ve never been really comfortable enough in any game since he signed to bed him in without pressure.

If we’d put him on against eg boro or Leeds and he didn’t slot straight in and we lost vital points.
There’s be some fans moaning about Régis not going for glory.

Let’s just be happy that we r playing well enough that we aren’t relying on him and hope when we do use him he comes on having seen what it’s about from the side lines and has a positive impact.

So that’s the Derby game when we got the second. When else?
Portsmouth

Yes

Pompey and Derby we were

We don’t need to rush him into the team as things are going well. Dont rock the boat and play him just for the sake of it. If we are 3-0 up today then bring him on to see what he’s about
Why does it have to be at 3-0 he's highly rated if jobe and rigg get booked he might end up having to start next week

I was wondering what people would find to conplain about, and here we are, it’s an 18 year olds gametime who has just come to a new country and dosent even speak the language.
And we have Jobe, Rigg and Browne playing well in the 2 positions he could play in, and we're top of the league. Bedding him in is a luxury we get to do, I'm looking forward to seeing him but I wouldn't want us to risk a result.

It's a risk putting anyone on

Ah aye anybody can fuck up, but with Aleksic not speaking English I wonder how much of the system does he know, team shape etc. I think if Jobe and Rigg got suspended together we'd probably see Auochiche start a game before Aleksic.

Different if he's coming on for 20 minutes in a game that's either won or lost like.
