*~*~* Luton v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Tut tut and tsk.

Not optimistic about this one, but then I never am and that's working out ok this season so far. Seems a bit of a waste having Rigg out wide like but Browne's experience and physicality will be useful against these.
Pretty sure he will play in a more narrow role than Patrick would

Regis will have a plan, that’s for sure

Will be “interesting” to see what “problems need to be solved” this evening

For me the right wing spot is one of the only places that we are weak in. Evidenced by Roberts being out of form and us having to shift Rigg out there.

Happy enough with Browne coming in though it’s a sensible decision.

No idea if that’s a strong Luton side or not given there was a lot of talk about them having injuries. Haway the lads

The Roberts haters (and there are many) have had a right day of it, every thread, even in SMB and Parsnip (probably even Politics but I'm not checking). Anyone would think we have got to the top of the table with 10 men. Perhaps not starting him today is the right move, perhaps not, but he has contributed loads this season and will do more, he is a very good footballer.
I thought he was poor by his standards last season, but has been very good for the most part this season, the last couple being a bit off standard. I'm surprised if he's dropped as such, maybe has a slight injury and not being risked to start with the hope he isn't needed and given more recovery time.
