Those dafties at Portman Rd telling everyone that Mckenna was a genius. Brilliant signing someone who doesn't play to your style and playing him out of position so as not to get the best out of him.

That’s all Ipswich have done. People lauded them as amazingly ambitious for doing so. Looks like scatter gun recruitment to me.

It can't. It can only advise the ref to have another look. The ref makes the decision. I dont think it was a pen. Clarke kicked the defender.

That's not even mentioning the fact he could have probably forced a move the previous summer to when he left us. Didn't. Head down. Did class, if not even better, last season.

Guaranteed 100% all the time. Even this season when it was likely obvious to him that he was leaving, he performed superbly in the opening games.

I'll always look back on his time here fondly, and hope he has a brilliant career. Likewise with Stewart.
 
I hope he starts pulling up some trees soon. He is in the unfortunate position of having had a big money move fail before, and I think that’s probably why only Ipswich were willing to stump up the cash. If this turns out to be his second go at the PL (even tho Spurs didn’t really give him a chance) and doesn’t work out it isn’t going to put him in a great position for future moves.

I think he’s good enough for the PL, but he needs to be in a decent side that plays to his strengths.

I honestly don't know why people care tbh. He was great for us and made us alot of money and is now testing himself at a higher level. It is what it is and I never give him a thought tbh.

Same for me. Loved watching him play and after finishing 16th last year, he probably had it in his mind that it was the time to leave.

Played 100+ games for us and left us with a decent profit to reinvest in the team. Good luck to him.

Would love him to score the winner against the mags this season.🤣

For a newly promoted club its looks like a race to almost bottom .. Southampton look done already wolves and Palace are a mess but still might possibly save themselves .. Ipswich need to have a big January...otherwise they have a decent championship team if they retain players ... but there in lies the problem. The likes if clarke and Co might bracket themselves as pl players ...who have done enough time in the championship

It is mad like. A fantastic player for us in this division but it’s weird having a mega thread on him following his every move in the PL. :lol:

I’d understand it if it were Rigg and he went somewhere massive

There’s at least 4 of the players you’ve mentioned there who wouldn’t make it in the PL in my opinion, but I do see your point.

We have a really good chance of going up this season I think, but if it happens and we want to stay there we will need to make a lot of signings.
