England White Ball Tour West Indies

his cricinfo c.v. Is very impressive given that "that era of rich options" has long gone. No mention of any extra-curricular with the likes of Mrs Key🤗
Hain's 50-over form has been remarkable, marked by regular low-risk runs and the ability to rotate the strike against spin impressively in the middle overs, and his average - in the high 50s - has consistently been the best by an England player in List A history. In T20 cricket, he has been a mainstay of the Birmingham Bears side, but in an era of rich options for the national white-ball team, his England call-up has proven elusive.
He has the best list A average ever shortly before the Hundred stopped him playing the format.

Only Gaikwad and Bevan with a better one.

Mental to not give that a go, especially when as both you @Rip Van Fish said he's a very handy T20 player too.

So it's not like he's not got the acceleration in his game alongside the anchor role he would perform like Root did for many years.

We seem obsessed with just getting as many people that can strike over 100 from get go in the ODI side and 150 in the T20 side. Even if it means when it goes wrong a lot we don't give a fuck.

Like we learnt nothing from how bad the World Cup was because we couldn't build innings. So we've doubled down on it.

Not to mention Warks have won the T20 north group for the last 3 years with him finishing games off
Doing any others this winter instead?
Nah, giving it a miss

May go to NZ next Oct/ Nov but depends on venues
Would want a minimum of 2 new ones tho to consider it like

They have milked the WI tour dry - 4 visits since Jan ‘22 now (albeit one was a WC)?

And meanwhile nowt in Sri Lanka since the ‘Randy Caddick’ series.

Robinson (Durham one) really has fell down the pecking order
But he was never in the frame for white ball as record is average.

Pepper has been one of the best players in the blast in recent seasons. He scored two tons in the season just gone.

They pick the ODI side based off T20/Hundred solely.

As predicted by many, Cox & Ahmed added to the squad. Ahmed will arrive late and Cox will likely leave early.
They look a few batsman light in the squad. And far too many spinners to pick a suitable side IMO

Not even sure how they will pick it. Again Sam Hain should be in the squad.

As a complete guess and maybe what I might pick.

Salt
Pepper
Jacks
Cox
Livingstone
Bethell
Curran
Rehan
Rashid
Archer
Turner
