CC : Durham v Kent

So then assuming play begins in the morning................ What happens?

Do we teams declare straight away then have a 2nd innings game or will Durham hope to bat first and bowl then out twice?

Both will likely want first innings bonus points. Ideally Lees’ wins the toss and puts Kent in . Batting by tea and hopefully a mid afternoon on Sunday declaration with around 45 overs to bowl them out with an attacking field . Parky and Drizzler bowling the majority of overs

With the extra half hour to be added tomorrow there is in theory 200 overs left in the game. I’d like to think that if there’s no obvious direction towards a result come Sunday morning the teams will agree to something in order to sign off the season in some sort of style.

I suspect both teams will want to bowl first in the morning like, there’s every chance given the rain that has fallen that both sides will get a bat tomorrow.

Saturday – 8am – The covers are off and the ground has dried well over night.

Saturday 9:30am – The umpires have inspected and we will start on time this morning with the toss at 10am.
