Seems odd given the forecast and time left in the day, but I suppose with nothing riding on the game it’s fair enough.


I don’t think either side would really mind to be honest, but the forecast for the next two days is decent.

A huge amount of rain fell yesterday so it will take a huge clean up operation to get this on.

Went down this morning only saw one puddle on the edge of the square, couldn't comment on how wet the outfield was it looked fine to me, there was no one doing anything while I was there so the job can't be that huge, it looked more to me like they were letting nature take it's course.
On the plus side I got next year's membership sorted.

I’m back to the joyous homecoming that the gas has been turned off

Not for non payment of bills but the whole gas system in our area is being upgraded

They couldn’t get in to our house so we are awaiting being reconnected
. This is off topic so should be deleted and I’ll probably get another warning, banned from this thread , this post deleted and banned from the site

It’s more or less the same as overpriced football club merchandise now.
The stuff used to be realistically priced without it being in the football “rip off Britain “ category.
The stuff was good and washed and lasted well
I still like my Surrige polo shirt and other stuff by the likes of Cotton Traders etc
This Canterbury CC stuff is very pricey

I've still got the 1993 Sunday League shirt (the one that the 2021 50 over shirt was based on) which was made by Hogger Sports. Also various shirts made by Pony, Surridge and Cotton Traders ( the latter two easily the best) which have all stood the test of time as well as my expanding waistline.

As well as being pricey the quality of the Canterbury stuff is vastly inferior which is disappointing as years ago they used to produce some decent (non cricket) stuff.

Sad state of affairs mate when grown men /oap’s get banned for a bit of schoolboy banter with intelligent knowledge and no malice intended . I got a couple of months on the ‘naughty step’ not long back . I have a good idea who the stirrer is and calculated guess who the mod is .Both contribute nothing of a cricketing nature or anything else. Being banned on here is nothing compared to everyday problems we all have . Maybe the close season will see a common sense approach and realisation that sending posters to the sin bin is unnecessary and woke
