CC : Durham v Kent

My advice is to stay at home and watch highlights of the 1975 Cricket World Cup Final.

Our CEO will be clapping his hands at the thought. Two potential washouts in a season - think of all the money saved.;)🤔
I’m busy searching for a copy of the 1979 Worcestershire v Somerset Benson and Hedges cup match
Wonder when Vic will be put on the twitter account to discuss the prospect of play?
Is Vic there 🤔

Indeed. You two have more cricketing knowledge in your respective fingernails, he's great company at the match is mr @The Red Telephone and you'll always be the captain of Durham County's live match chat CC, halycon days

even if he does spread vile rumours about me liking kent
Need to remember @The Red Telephone gets all his cricketing knowledge from MrsRT and just makes on it's all his own work :D

That'll help fill in two minutes of your day.

Funnily enough I chose that classic track on the 'Friday Night Is Music Night' thread two or three weeks ago.

He's yet to meet her so he may actually believe this. During the Durham v Lancs game I rang her to inform her that we had gone from 99 - 4 to 502-4. Her reply was...."Is that good?"

Anyone local that can see the river, is it in flood? I believe it was because of this the water on the ground had nowhere to go and this caused the abandonment of the first match of the season

Very much doubt if any cricket is played at all in this match
As everything is completely sodden with little hope of even slightly drying out my guess is that because of wet outfield this game will be abandoned without a ball being bowled
