CC : Durham v Kent

Looks like it's going to be a write off tomorrow weather wise.:(
Second coldest place is Stanley front street
I worked there 13 years and would definitely agree. Mind you Gateshead Fell's cricket ground would push it close.🥶
The Trapdoor looked impressive yesterday. Hopefully it’s not papering over the ‘cracks’ 🤔 Did anyone have the audacity to sit in your seat 🤔😀
It's been that long since Durham has had it open that I've probably forgotten where it was.🤬
It's been a lean year for the Trapdoor Army.

Did you sit in the Tony Day Stand at the Fell in the early seasons of first class status 🎪🤔

Was that when he slept in the beer tent overnight as his lift back to the Boro had let him down. His world famous duffle coat obviously kept him warm from the howling winds...or maybe it was the beer?

Curiously enough that may have been during the match against Kent (the one where WW3 nearly broke out between Dean Jones and Marty McCague.

*Due to an event being held in the Geoff Cook lounge on Friday, the members lounge will be held in the Castle View Suite. Fish and Chips will instead be served on Thursday in the Geoff Cook lounge.

Pitch 12

Same side as Surrey maybe, unless they go with an extra spinner or another young seamer comes in however L Robinson seems to have been injured for the majority of this season so not sure where he is fitness wise.

I fancy starting Xl
Lees
Mckinney
Gay
Bedingham
Robinson
Ackermam
De leede
Killeen / Minto
Hogg / Robinson
Parkinson
Holder
Depends what sort of contract he’s on . Showed lots of promise in the last couple of years but I think he’s been hindered by injuries this season 🤔
2nd year of his 2 year rookie deal so normally make a decision either give him a 2 year full contract or release.
As ever with Durham there is plenty of competition with the young seamers sadly not so much with the young batsmen.

It's refreshing.

Imagine how cold it is up Blanchland common if it's blowing a hoolie at Tesco.
Played in a cricket competition on Blanchland back in the day . A ‘novice’ type league. I played for DDC against Blanchland, Cargobull and another team. Had to bowl off 3 paces as the uncut wicket was lively

Just looking at the forecasts for tomorrow. Not only is Thursday looking like a write off but with 24 hours of heavy rain predicted commencing tonight we may also be struggling to see much on Friday. Good job there's nothing riding on it.

The weather this year has been an absolute shit show.

So The Drizzler may have to wait another day to replace Raine🤔 🙈
