England v Australia second ODI Saturday 11am

Overcast in the morning so win the toss and get them in could be our best/only chance IF we bowl well...
Agreed. , we keep batting first and getting slapped around too easily in the chase

And I hope they are practising not just blasting sixes but actually trying to place the ball away from the boundary edge fielder

To many times they hole out to a single fielder without a soul near them

They don’t have to keep being macho and trying to deposit the likes of lasagne and zampa into another county, just milk them for singles with odd boundary

Also the bowlers need to come up with better line and length plans, with the added bonus of Yorkers , either fast or slow

No width either as the new bats are so good, miss hits fly for 6

Please send a transcript of this post to Messrs Ward, Hussein, Atherton et al, no need to copy Ricky Ponting in on this, he’s at the back of the commentary box polishing his didgeridoo.

Absolutely, mishits also fly for 6 because they bring the boundaries in so far - really don't like that

Glad for footy and F1, can't see anything but abject humiliation in this today. Hope the sun comes out and scuppers their bowling. Our only hope.

White ball bilateral series really don't pique my interest anymore.

There's a saying on another cricket forum that refers to them as JAMODI's (just another meaningless ODI series)
