Champions again

Many who have watched them over the years would be of the opinion that they steps over the boundary of competitiveness into intimidation. That rightly should be criticised. It's not churlish therefore to temper the praise.
How a team behaves in victory is important.
Not forgetting they refused to play at Durham in 2021 by playing the COVID card . Not undermining the horrendous situation and uncertainty but a lot felt they took easy options rather than honour the game

Not their academy players though. They've been developed in the many cricket playing independent schools in their catchment including Berkshire. Canny hothouse to be able to draw on.
Sure. But you can’t really criticise them for that.

I’m sure most have played for their academy, although I may be wrong

That’s how fans often look at it, incorrectly imo, a player playing for their team is competitive, where a player who is competitive playing for another team especially a successful one is intimidating.

Best to just praise continued successful achievement imo, rather than looking for faults all the time

I'm. not looking for faults all the time. Equally, any team,no matter how successful, should adhere to certain standards of behaviour and shouldn't be above censure. I've watched Surrey teams. Constant appealing to the extent of intimidation, obscene language when coming off after dismissal. Be competitive fired up by all means but they cross the Rubicon frequently.I've every right as a paying member to object to such behaviour.
Yet again, you're making unjustified generalisations about spectators behaviour.

Based on that theory do you still have positive vibes regarding the 16.4 😀

Curran is a twat but he gives as good as he gets.

Cracking response from a Somerset fan though

In my humble opinion most sporting teams have a cross section of personalities both good and bad, I imagine Surrey will have some not soo good personalities but they will be no different than any other team in that respect.

However I think some not soo good personalities in a successful team is magnified by those jealous of their success to give them a angle to have a go.

In short Surrey will be no different than most teams good and not soo good, and just because one personality may have behaved badly in the past think to generalise the whole team in that bracket incorrect.

You imagine...? I take it you haven't attended many games involving Surrey.
In "your humble opinion" you feel the right to castigate in general spectators you've never met

Just like the supporters castigating some Surrey players they have never met;)

Or do you not think that happens?

Furthermore I think it’s more than fair to say successful teams like the great Liverpool side of the 80s and Man City now and the great Australia cricket side got a lot of stick at the time mainly down to jealousy.

I find that in general top successful teams get more stick than praise, not quite sure why but do think a lot down to jealousy

So before you criticise behaviour that you personally witness, you need to know the perpetator personally?
Furthermore, any criticism is solely down to jealously.
You're fully entitled to express opinions, but what evidence have you to make such inflammatory statements?

Just don’t get why people can’t just say well played and move on.

The county championship a good hard competition that Surrey have performed in exceptionally in it again.

Good set ups and good teams like Somerset have never won it, yet Surrey keep winning it and keep performing superb year after year.

Not sure why people can’t just say well played congratulations and move on
