2nd time this season, 3/4 that my dad has come down to watch that's been rained off without a ball being bowled
Aye, and the other game that was played was that T20 when Lancs bowled us out for 75Shit that’s but crack mate
To be fair when they were off for bad light/rain at the oval there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Would have been fine the last few days and the next few days too looking at the forecast.Who would have guessed it might rain in Manchester in mid-September?
Aye I had tickets for the Saturday (can’t remember if day 3 or 4) and once I saw the forecast I didn’t even bother travelling. Knew I’d not see a ball bowled.Learned my lesson from the ashes last summer for days 4 & 5, never book for OT
Same mate I’ve still got the hotel booked as I’ll lose money if i cancel it! It was for the Saturday, bought tickets for the Sunday too but that was completely abandoned.Aye I had tickets for the Saturday (can’t remember if day 3 or 4) and once I saw the forecast I didn’t even bother travelling. Knew I’d not see a ball bowled.
League cricket is winding up. Rarely goes past 3rd week of September. We should not be playing International cricket in England at this time of year. Someone has been paid a lot of money to come up with these arrangements. Public School chaps no doubt - probably fits in with their South of France vacation at the villa. I wonder if any of the ICC, ECB staff went to Dame Dorothy Street Infants?
