Jack Clarke

gone from starting for us to being a bench player for Ipswich?

doesn't sound like a great move tbh
No one hoys a new boy in immediately unless they’re absolutely desperate. I think he’ll be first choice by bonfire night, Xmas at the latest.

Early days but it may not yet improve for him. He could also find himself relegated. Like I always say, when you already earn a better wage than 99.9% of the country, even more money isn't always everything.

I'd suggest we wait at least until the new year before we can make any judgement on his performance. IIRC he was a slow starter here.

And, while I wish the fellow the best of luck, he's - and every other ex player - is just a footnote in the proud history of this club. He did a great job for us but moved on, as should we.

The only club he has ever settled at in his career is SAFC. Doesn't surprise me if he hasn't settled well with Ipswich. Still early days but I said at the time of the transfer that it was a bit of a gamble for him.

Jack Clarke was always too good for us let’s not kid ourselves. Deserved that move up to the premier league
Always seems a bit generous. I don’t think clubs were particularly queuing up to take him on loan from spurs.

In league one he had flashes of good stuff but it’s not like he was setting the world alight, I certainly wouldn’t have said he was too good for us. But the opportunities and development we gave him got him a move back to the prem

He's playing in the Premership mate, the lad deserved the opportunity. Even if it probably is for the one season, Ipswich will still be looking at promotion again if/when they come down.

The wage thing you're on about is complete bollocks tbf. Big money usually comes from being good at what you do. If the company you work for can't/won't reward you, then you move on to somewhere that does.

I can't blame the lad for moving, most good players only stay at a club 2/3 seasons, which he did. He moved to a side in the league above and has got a big payrise, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, and it's going to happen with a few more of our players shortly of we don't get promotion.

There’s absolutely no basis to saying he hasn’t settled like

None at all
Mundle is a step up from Clarke . Seems to have more to his game, attitude etc. Don't lay on the deck when getting clattered ,likes a bit of retaliation after .Sees the pass to his team mates, not as greedy as Clarke. WILL only get better with each performance .Fast ,direct, can shoot and score .Team player.👍

Clarke is absolutely mint, was our best player. Short memories.
