Only benefit is everyone outside of the brain-dead morons society easily gets to see who the brain-dead morons are. These rumours about the bridge being unable to be used…….where did they originate from?
Someone on Social media. It really is a microcosm of how misinformation propagates online.
When Spielberg Gollum’s my “great unfinished novel” I’ll get him to have you doing the drone footage along the river just before the shootout.Weather this morning was a blessing and a curse. Didn't get the footage I wanted but possibly got something better.

Monday the 16th is what I read on the Sunderland Future faceshite page, don't know how accurate their information is though, I'm off that day though so I may pop down to watch the lift.Should be ready for the big lift this week I would say.....
'The critical activity of installing permanent bearings and kentledge on the south side section, and permanent bearings on the north side section, as well as setting up strand jacks is expected to take about a week, during which time the barge will be moored up in port,” says Rimmer.
Then it will come back to site and moor across the river so that the final 105m long deck unit can be raised in a lifting operation of around eight hours.'

Any recommendations of a good vantage point, was thinking initially the town bridge, then a couple of alternative views from the Northside riverside path under the town bridge & maybe further up past the old cobbled wagonway, basically either side of the area blocked off. Not sure on Southside vantage points as the last time I was over the riverside park lots of it was blocked off. Looking forward to the drone footage as usual![]()
The metro platform & St Mary's carpark sound decent vantage pointsThe town bridge isn't the best because the railway bridge blocks the view almost entirely.
Maybe from the northbound metro platform or the back of st.marys car park.
Or the north side river side path, but coming from the back of southwick towards it.

What about that footbridge that connects the Vaux site to Farringdon Row over riverside park? I’ve never actually walked along that but always fancied it because you must get a decent view of the riverside and SOL.Monday the 16th is what I read on the Sunderland Future faceshite page, don't know how accurate their information is though, I'm off that day though so I may pop down to watch the lift.
