Jack Clarke

Honestly, the odds are quiet small that we'll be in the Prem and he'll be playing in the Championship this time next year.
Wonder what the odds would be for safc to be win first four games -sit top of the division and conceded just one goal ?

If Mundle keeps this level up then I think he will compare and possibly eclipse Clarke. If you don’t agree then that is fair enough but I stand by my words and will love to see the come to fruition.
apparently the spurs fans rated Mundle better than Clarke, so only time will tell if selling Clarke will lead to our downfall. I think we are a better balanced side with him gone as we did rely on just punting it out to the left for him to make something happen.

I said this the minute he left.

We were far too reliant on him and we're already looking far more dangerous on the right and through the middle since he left.

Enjoyed reading speakmans explanation of it all, I was pissed when he left for the level of fee and have been quick to critique speakman however think having read his explanation of the deal I retract my criticism of him. One thing I don’t think we can aim at those running things is they look to get the best deal for the club in or not and seemingly the lack of interest in jack and his wanting to leave last season forced our arm somewhat. So fair play to speakman and I hope he continues to be as open in the future. My apologies mr speakman.

To be fair mind that was due to lack of attacking ideas from Beale and Dodds.

We’d be doing what we’re doing now with Clarke in the team. Just great news that Mundle has made the step up so comfortably so far
Well at times it did feel like the tactic was just give it to Clarke, he was doubled up on at times as well making him and us ineffective.

I think the point around us needing to be seen not standing in players way is crucial to the way we want to operate. If we held clarke again this summer it might start to make players think twice about coming here knowing we won't let them move on if they outgrow us.

Probably answering the wrong post 🤣

Yeah I agree with you that it was a problem we had last season, specifically under Beale and Dodds. Reckon Le Bris wouldn’t have been so reliant on the “just give it to Clarke” sole tactic though

Good to see Mundle stepping up, will hopefully see Watson get more minutes and we could also have Wilson up top or wide left too depending on Mayenda form & fitness.

I was worried about losing Clarke this summer, however seems we might be finding a way to not only cope but thrive after his departure. Don't want to tempt fate
