Milan Aleksic - Confirmed


Today was always going to be tough for him to make his debut, considering the strenght of our opponent. If we were losing 3,4-0 than he would have came on probably. I could see him getting some minutes vs Denmark.

Yes, because they are more experienced.

Belić was a debutant but he's been playing for AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch league for the past 6 months and also he's also 4 years older.

Grujić played in PL, briefly for Liverpool and 6 months at Cardiff on loan, he also played in Bundesliga as well as for Porto in Portuguese league. He's 28 and has 24 caps for Serbia already.

In a tight game, in which we had a result that is pretty good for us, it made little sense to throw a 18 year old kid in to the fire.

Actually, I and pretty much everyone in Serbia agrees with that statement 😁, but not because Aleksić didn't play. He's been awful for quite some time now. Although, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with our first half performance and even in the second half our defence was pretty solid.

What did you think of him as a player? Absolute class from what I remember.

I watched the game, you can't miss chances like the one Jovic did in the first half and still win against Spain but defensively you were very good.

Hopefully we see him get some minutes against Denmark, as it'll do his confidence a world of good to come back a full international.

You were very unlucky not to go further. Brilliant team which went on to be even better. Unfortunate turn of events cut you off in your prime.
