Chris Rigg

Does Rigg have a higher ceiling than Amad?

We know how exceptionally good amad is ...but was he as good at Rigg at 16?

Watching Rigg link up with Roberts jobe and mayenda ...is a real highpoint soo far

I think we are getting a bit carried away here

We really aren't. This kid played for England under 17's at 15.

He should make the under 21's at 17.
Let's just see how the season goes mate. He has had a brilliant start though. He has really Improved on a poor end to last season. Long may it continue

So we’ve established on this thread that every other 17 year old in the world is shit and rigg is better than them all aye?

I really do hope the lad reaches the heights forecast on this thread mind.

He’s been compared to Gazza, Messi, Rooney, Bellingham and many more.

What was iniesta doing when he was 17?

I agree. Without a doubt he’s the best I’ve seen at Sunderland

I’ve seen loads better outside of Sunderland though and that isn’t a slight on the lad because the people in referring to went on to be world beaters.

People just need to calm down a bit and let him develop. He looks like he could be a world beater but people are going right over the top at the minute

It's crazy really. No wonder a lot of kids crumble by the time they are 21. I love the fella, and he is playing amazing, but people need to settle down a bit. Let's just enjoy him, and then get behind him( and the rest of the team) when there form dips.

Kids crumble becuase they start to believe their own hype ... get corrupted or destractex by the money or fame...

Fan prrssures can have a barring .. but the above usually has the biggest negative affect

Jobe and riggy are really ground ... they both come across as quite humble in interviews. Both reject opportunities at the end of last season to go elsewhere for better deals ...to stay here and hopefully get the chance to play and develop.

Prejudging fan excitement and almost asserting the fans shouldmy do that is flawed imho ....

enjoying the fact that weve gone from the likes of Winchester and the like to two kids with huge potential ... its hard not to get carried away given we're playing soo well.

Why can't we dare to dream about these two and just enjoy them for who they are
