It's a frightening thought but I imagine a great idea like that wouldn't have even crossed the mind of anyone involved at the club or pub.Surely you would think whoever runs that Sticky Wicket would be doing something to mark this game. I know it doesn't usually open on a Mon/Tue, but its an open goal tonight surely. Get it advertised as being on the big screen, some drinks/food promos for pizza and a pint or something, with a cricket quiz before the game/half time. It is as if people don't want to make any money!
Aye it's a hell of a ground. My first visit.I get why people prefer The Oval to Lords, it’s gorgeous in here.
Got mine for £5.90 during the happy hour. Not paying that for another though, just get some cans when I get back to the hotel.Aye it's a hell of a ground. My first visit.
Not a fan of £7.95 pints mind![]()
There’s a private event on. Just been in for a quick pint after a walking the pooch along the river, the lass who served me said the drinks are jusy to be put on a tab when I got my card out, stupidly said I’m not part of any party. She told me it was a private function and asked if I could stay outside. Cow still charged me though.Surely you would think whoever runs that Sticky Wicket would be doing something to mark this game. Terrible advice for what it's worth, didn't go to the usual post-work haunt, spent £30 on four pints of Asahi and now I'm crammed on the Northern Line and likely to miss the startOr, hear me out here, find a boozer with a happy hour near the City then hop on the Northern line from Bank. Not that it's my brief post-work plan or anything.
Pints aren't much different price here. So much for a happy hour!!Terrible advice for what it's worth, didn't go to the usual post-work haunt, spent £30 on four pints of Asahi and now I'm crammed on the Northern Line and likely to miss the start![]()
