Was the worry before he signed a three year contract-the amount who said he would Defo be off -and then …

He's the player with the highest ceiling I've seen at SAFC in my 37 years of service. He's well ahead of Henderson at the same age who I'd now relegate to 2nd place.

He's a generational talent. As mental as this next bit sounds has the potential to end up in Gascoigne territory.

He's been very well advised to sign a new deal at SAFC. His development would be hugely stunted if he ended up sitting on the bench / playing U21 football at one of the top 6. Even in the last 6 months he's developed from a very talented lad to one of the first names on the team sheet. It's really exciting to see him continue to develop, hopefully that's for SAFC all the way to the premier league.

the staggering thing is he's already a leader in this team.and is so assured. he just keeps doing the right thing at the.right time. Awesome decision making. Fantastic work ethic. Can pick a pass. Winning big tackles at important moments. Skys the limit
 
He had his best game for us yesterday. Involved in all 3 goals and had the beating of Marlon pack, an experienced pro twice his age. He has the attitude, work ethic and commitment to go with his talent. A very very rare find.
 
Rigg needs to play games as part of his development,it will be interesting to see if his next move (I think we'll have him for 2 seasons including this one) is straight to a top 4 side which would be a mistake imo unless they loaned him out.Can see European big dogs sniffing about as well.



Just love watching him.

I thought he was signed up now until the start of 2028?
Next one off the production line will be Tommy Watson
Hope he starts getting 10 mins here and there-along with Kelly and Jones

Gazza’s the only player who style he’s comparable to really. Long way to go but he’s kinda like a blend of Roy Keane and Zidane.

Its great he’s ours for now and there’s a worry he’s gunna leave for a mega club too soon but we just have to enjoy him while he’s here, 1 year or 10.

The biggest issue for me is the club has a massive responsibility in helping him fulfill his potential. In my lifetime, in terms of English talent at that age there’s been Rooney and Gazza. (For me ahead of everyone else including Jude.)

Rigg looks to be those levels and it does appear (thank fk), the whole club from coaches, manager, excellent senior players, local lads in the team, even the level we’re at (where we’re outside the glare of the premier league for his breakthrough season). It’s all geared and perfectly set for his development.
