He's unbelievable, we'll probably never have another Chris Rigg, I just hope we can keep him for a good 3-5 years. He'll still be young enough to go and do the Real Madrid thing then.

I think one of the big boys will come in with an offer we can't refuse in a couple of years. I hope we're in the Premier League by then so the fee is substantial and we can invest it elsewhere. He's unbelievable, we'll probably never have another Chris Rigg, I just hope we can keep him for a good 3-5 years. You're probably right, but I'm not too bothered about the money with Rigg. Just wanna watch and enjoy him at SAFC for as long as possible.I think one of the big boys will come in with an offer we can't refuse in a couple of years. Given our trajectory, I doubt we'll be in the Champ when he leaves like. When he goes It's got to be the highest ever transfer fee received for a a championship club, excluding when clubs have been relegated sold players with premier league experience.
When he does move it will be to a top club - so not Newcastle thenI don’t want to think about that. I want him to be here as long as possible and enjoy what he offers as long as possible. Rigg, IMO, is a genuine talent.
I just hope he gans nowhere near the Mags
Off to Spurs with Mandy the cat and we receive billions from the Saudis for him. When he does move it will be to a top club - so not Newcastle then![]()
I reckon if he avoids injury then we will get bids come in for him next summer , if we don’t get promoted we will lose him if he continues to progress the way he has been anyway , get promoted and he staysI think one of the big boys will come in with an offer we can't refuse in a couple of years. Aye anar. What is the obsession with the valuation of our players man? Just enjoy the howers.
Been done mate, have been reliably informed thats where the clarke money wentBe enough to get the hand dryers fixed.
Agreed. I think it will take quite a big lump of cash for us to part with him. He needs games and he's getting them here.I reckon if he avoids injury then we will get bids come in for him next summer , if we don’t get promoted we will lose him if he continues to progress the way he has been anyway , get promoted and he stays
That’s the spirit marra !Given our trajectory, I doubt we'll be in the Champ when he leaves like.
He’s clearly loving it tooAgreed. I think it will take quite a big lump of cash for us to part with him. He needs games and he's getting them here.
I'm loving it as well. That’s the spirit marra !

Not now! They would have to sell someone first to avoid points deduction..Does anyone think Newcastle could afford him?
That’s hardly a new thing unless you go back 70-80 years. Everton only had Rooney for two years, the mags had Gazza for just 3.It’s a shame in these times we live in, where a 17 year old with less than 30 appearances has to have praise caveated with “enjoy him while he’s here” type comments and the knowledge of and preparation for a departure in the foreseeable future. Needing to secure a promotion to perhaps have him on for one or two more seasons. Being unlikely to see him play for us in his peak. Presume there was a time where he’d have just remained at SAFC.
That said the club’s done amazing to keep him.
Also interesting to have a talent where the feeling is that he’s beyond the reach of most clubs, unlike say Clarke (Brentford, Palace, Ipswich). On the current trajectory his next move won’t be a mid table pl outfit. He seems destined for the top and hopefully he plays for us in the pl.
That's the only worry is him ending up there...Does anyone think Newcastle could afford him?
