Slightly different point, but people may remember Glos producing a decidedly dodgy pitch at Bristol against us a few years ago. It was to suit their spinner, whose name escapes me, and he took a shed load of wickets and the game was over in 2 days.
However, my abiding memory' was a delivery from Liam Trevaskis (hardly the greatest spinner of the ball) which shot off a good length over the batsman’s and keepers heads and went for 4 byes. That pitch was arguably dangerous then as well.
Correct me if I’m wrong but are hybrid pitches those ones with plastic interwoven in them?Match abandoned

GodawfulThat’s right mate.
Godawful
It was Gloucs, not Durham mateI wonder how many points they get deducted.
I hate plastic lawns almost as much as plastic pitches. We played cricket all over the world in all climates yet they think a plastic field is required in England of all places? Makes a mockery of the sportMost of the usage of hybrid pitches in this country, have, from memory, mainly been used for white ball games.
It’s going to be an interesting one to follow this though, considering they’re supposed to be hosting an international game there in a few weeks.
12 points deduction with 16 points deduction for Durham for the Cameron Bancroft connection.I wonder how many points they get deducted.
