Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

We have an unbelievably shit success rate of signing strikers.

Yet a very good success rate of signing midfielders and wingers.

It's beyond logic.

I still have hope we will bring another striker in, we have already brought Wilson in who can play as a striker but another quality option is needed I would say.

Poveda plays right, no?

Rusyn was already here. I know he’s easy to forget as we saw next to nothing from him.

You cant tell me you think that’s been a good window for us man? I know you love to be Paolo Maldini to the club, but it’s not on.

Like I say, 24 hours to go yet so I’m not bursting a gasket yet.
So if Mundle gets injured and Mayenda then proveda is on the bench?

Serious question how can’t we compete with clubs in this league for players. I get the model but if we don’t lift our wage cap and spend a little (after selling our best player) we're never gonna sign the better players. Float around mid table in the championship year in year out like Preston.

We can’t compete with teams coming down from PL with 100 mill in there pockets which is likely where he will go.

They literally sold the model that way. When we start making big sales we start making bigger purchases.

They’re full of shite. This money will disappear into running costs.

We weren’t getting the shiny new spotlights and speakers for fuck all either

I think this is genuinely the case. The stadium upgrades probably cost north of £2m with the ticket office and that. They’ve done Quinn’s and the AOL too. That’ll all have been offset against Clarke’s sale.

Selling our best players is how they intend on keeping the club running, not to improve/go for promotion.

Surely people aren’t still farting on about that little Ukrainian ffs.

He’s f***ing awful. The smb has decided he’s a winger aswell despite never playing there for us.
Because we've not had a striker and if he's going to play, we may as well try him in the position he's played half his games. We started last season with Hemir for goodness sake. Rusyn put up good numbers as a striker (and as a winger) in Ukraine, but in England he's never a CF. He's a winger for us or he's a bust. Deserves a chance under new coach, but if he doesn't show that he's settled and start producing I'm sure he'll be moved on.

It’s always good to wait til the window closes. I obviously have more than my fair share of doubt but I’d be delighted to be proved wrong by this time tomorrow
This. They deserve the chance to implement any plan or strategy. If its poor tomorrow then they'll get all the stick they deserve.

The new coach clearly doesn’t think he’s a winger and neither have any of the other coaches we’ve had before him.

Well if we aren’t going to invest the money why the fuck did they sell Clarke? He had 2 years left to run and if they’re not spending the money why bother selling him?
I don’t disagree with needing to sign another forward.

You’ve got people booting off at the fee for cannon yesterday. Now everyone’s kicking off we won’t spend more.

Only this place.

Come back to me after the deadline has passed.
They didn’t after selling Stewart so why would they start now?
People just cannot let go of last season.

We didn’t invest the Stewart money. Then people said “wait till January” now it’s “wait till the windows closed”.

f***ing tedious mate.
This. Easy for happy clappers to laugh at people with concerns because the window isn't closed, but we have £25m from player sales, wages off the books and still seem to be losing out on targets by penny pinching and haggling.
