Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

None of them say bids like ours do they?

Steve Cooper comments on Tom Cannon future amid Sunderland links

Speaking ahead of his side’s Premier League clash vs Aston Villa this weekend, Foxes boss Steve Cooper was quizzed on Cannon’s situation.

Cooper didn’t deny the transfer interest in Cannon, but stated that his potential exit will only be on Leicester City’s terms.

Cooper said: “He’s definitely a good young player and is attracting a lot of attention.

“It is possible [that Cannon leaves]. If he does, it will be the decision the club thinks is best. If not, I’ll enjoy working with him.”

Leicester City’s current valuation of Cannon remains unclear, though it’s claimed that Sunderland are unwilling to go beyond the £5million mark.

There's a definite theme of us never being able to go to the price that will get the deals done for strikers like.

Hard for anybody to deny at this point

Gents in all seriousness if after selling Clarke we do not spend a penny on a CF I genuinely cannot see how KLD and Speakman can consider looking any Sunderland supporter in the eye and say they have learnt from there previous mistakes. It is surely inconceivable for a club of our size, level of support and aspirations of promotion to not bring in a CF to help the side. It would make no football or business sense and they will be wide open to the levels of criticism that will becoming there way.

And clearly a reason why we've missed out so far. It's lucky that Wilson was a loan or else we'd have probably missed out on him too!

What's even more annoying is taht we've sold our best player to apparently bring better players in, yet we've spent fuck all of Clarkes transfer fee. Would have been better off keeping him at this rate.
