Sunderland haven't finished in a higher league position than us since the 2015/16 season, and you've had four ( i think) seasons in the third tier in that time - finishing below us every season since you came back up to the championship.

If we've been irrelevant, then so I'm afraid have you.

Not in mine they haven't.
They've largely been conspicuous by their absence.

Still a lesser Derby though.
 
My mate's question to me when I asked him was this, if Boro wins anything FA Cup, League, etc would it bother you? The answer to this question is no so that is now my answer as to whether it is a derby or not.

Arsenal ground is less than 30 miles from Luton Town's ground, that's not a derby
