Milan Aleksic - Confirmed

Reading between the lines, if you put Elliot Embleton, Dean Whitehead,Tommy Miller, Nikolas Tesla and Aleksandar Mitrovic in a food blender and left it on for 20 minutes, then you'd get something like Milan Aleksic dripping out.

Milan Aleksic is a Serbian 18-year-old midfielder who plays for Radnicki 1923 in the Serbian Superliga. Aleksic is a multipurpose midfielder, as he can play as a 10, 8 and even if needed as a 6. He is around 180 centimeters tall and comes off a good debut season in Serbia, as he scored 2 goals and assisted 7 goals in 25 appearances (16 starts). Aleksic is right footed, but he often uses his left foot as well. The player has also debuted for the Serbian U19 team and has 3 appearances in total.

Milan Aleksic has a mesomorphic body build, but still lacks some strength in ground duels. He performs better in them offensively rather than defensively. His balance helps him while having the ball and when dribbling past defenders, but when defending he visibly lacks strength to come in front of the defender/get him away from the ball to intercept it. But as he is quite average in ground duels, Aleksic is better in the air. His jumping reach is good, and he balances his body quite well in the air as well. Acceleration and pace of Aleksic are quite good, but nothing amazing as well. His fitness looks quite good, he can run throughout the whole game. The Serbian youth national player his mental is quite good. Doesn’t really react on mistakes or fouls and doesn’t discuss with the referee as well.

Offensively, Aleksic can contribute on different ways. Even though he doesn’t average a big number of passes or touches, he is still crucial for the team to create chances. His passing is good. The total passing average for last season is around 77%. He is often progressive with his passing, but passes backwards or sideways if there is no other option. Aleksic doesn’t give high, long passes. The Serb prefers to keep them lower to the ground, often the same with deep passes behind the defenders. High passes like crosses aren’t his favorite, and he isn’t really good at them. Aleksic is really good with the ball at his feet. He progresses almost always with the ball and isn’t scared of being pressed by multiple opponents. His technical abilities are really good, he keeps the ball close to himself and keeps his head up to always look for an open teammate to pass to if needed. He dribbles past his man really well and is a tough player to put off the ball as his balance is good. Doesn’t lose the ball very often. Aleksic positions himself slightly more on the right side rather than the central or left side. But he often goes in these areas as well. He often roams without the ball and tries to get open in space. Doesn’t really run forward for deep passes. Aleksic mostly shoots from distance, but he is possible of getting into a box and getting a shot on target. Out of an average of 1.6 shots per game, 0.5 of them are on target. Overall, he is promising in the offensive side of the game. But there are some parts to work on.

Defensively, Aleksic isn’t really great. He lacks the strength when he’s in defensive duels to put his opponents off the ball. Aleksic often presses the players that are in his area or zone where he is. He can come back deep, but he doesn’t enter his own penalty box besides when it’s really needed (set pieces, high positioned attack, game situation). Aleksic also lacks the timing to set in at a correct time when defending in a 1v1 situation, letting the man get past him quite often. He doesn’t foul quite often as well. So, there is a lot of work to do on that side, when you compare it to his offensive abilities.

Overall, Aleksic is a player to watch for in the future in my opinion. He could grow to a really good player. The potential is there, just needs to improve some abilites on both sides of the field. He is already linked with other clubs like Hamburg and the BlueCo group as well, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the player would make a move this summer. Aleksic has talent, and clubs are seeing it as well. Let’s hope he makes a good choice for in the future.
Is this the long dark haired Serb from last week?
I thought he was Croatian.

Nor Benfica

He said “I’m following Rade Prica”

He’s signing for Christian Speaka

Whose model is divine.

And so on.

Future Rigg replacement.

Think he’s Ekwah replacement more likely.

The other lad they were looking at Bardelli is the replacement they may have in mind for Aouchiche, who perhaps has the handier spillover of being a potential mitigation for Rigg.

Tbh, this lad most looks like Dan Neil. But I think we are more keen for an extra body that covers Dan, because Ekwah has already been replaced by Browne.

Aleksic is playing for his local team Radnicki 1923, arguably the fifth biggest club in the country. Most famous ex players of the club are Luka Milivojevic(ex-Palace captain) and Filip Kostic(Juventus). As even younger he played for Partizan and Cukaricki youth teams but Partizan decided to release him in the beginning of last season. With new coach Fedja Dudic and his family and friends supporting him he grew in every game last season and started this season great.
He's on the Serbia nations league squad for games against Spain and Denmark. Maybe it sounds like a lot of money at this point of his career, but he is a great prospect. Interesting fact is that the owner of Sounthampton Dragan Solak is from the same city like Aleksic.
Whish all the bast to Sunderland supportes, first of all to win the Championship this year, you have a great team and fans!

20 goals in 80 games or so isn't it? Doesn't scream "dan neil" to me but if he plays deep AND scores that many it's promising!

And then say one of those lads was to move on for a significant fee we'd have a lad ready to step in after a settling in period. Succession planning, it'll never catch on!
Arsenal used to be like that under Wenger . One player would go and then the understudy would come in and look just as good. Plus we're getting rid of the ones who've not made the step up to finance these lads coming in

If you put all of those in a food blender for 20 minutes you’d have blood and guts all over the shop. It’d be a right mess

But like Mundle for Clarke.

I really think we’re getting into a rhythm with this now- want to know who’ll be off in 12 months, look at who we’re bringing in now.

I think he’ll be around the first team but not expected to be a starter this season. Only highlights, but the standard looked a lot slower than the Championship, looks like he has good close control mind.

With Rigg, we’ll have a lot less agency than Clarke.

Bigger fee and much bigger clubs coming in.

Want him to stay - must go up. And even then.

Allegedly signing for 3.7m euros... big fee for a player that age!

Radnički from Kragujevac agreed the biggest transfer in the history of the club!

Talented midfielder Milan Aleksić is moving to English Sunderland in a transfer that, with bonuses, amounts to 3,700,000 euros. In addition to the considerable amount of money, the people of Kragujevac will also receive a percentage of the next sale of the boy born in 2005. The newly minted Serbian national team member has already traveled to medical examinations, after which he will sign a four-year contract with Sunderland.

The sale of the new Serbian national team member is a big deal for the sports sector of the club from Šumadija, led by sports director Slavko Perović. The super-talented midfielder came to Radnički from Kragujevac last summer, after a youth internship in Partizan. He was training with the Black and Whites, and when he felt that he would not be in serious competition for the competitive team, he decided to accept Radnicki's invitation. More precisely, Slavko Perović.
And hit the center of the target. It should not be surprising that Milan Aleksić went to the Islands, where he will strengthen the ranks of the current leader of the Championship. In the last season, he played superbly, even forcing the coach Dragan Stojković to praise him with the words that he has a "mason move".
During the previous season, Milan Aleksić scored five goals and registered ten assists in all competitions. The period of progress continued in this competitive year. Practically, he was the only player from Radnički who earned a passing grade in the painful elimination from Bar's Sailor.

At the beginning of the summer, Radnički had several offers for Milan Aleksić. Benfica was mentioned, while the official offer was sent by a group of clubs under the patronage of Chelsea. They wanted to finish their European obligations on Cika Dach, and then wait for new offers. And they waited for her.

How good the work of Kragujevac's Radnicki is best reflected by the following fact. Milan Aleksić has become the most expensive product of the Mozzart Bet Superliga this summer if we talk about players who can play for the Serbian national team. Partizan sold Bazdar for 3.5 million euros. The rest are far behind. Zvezda's biggest sales Osman Bukari (seven million euros) and Marko Stamenić (5.5 million) are members of other national teams.
EDIT *** Translated the entire thing then found the other f***ing thread. Mods - do your thing
Like music to my ears.

3m for an 18 year old is decent money. Must be highly rated

I remember saying similar about the ch we signed in the last division. Although to be fair he got a bad injury. Was he Albanian or something?

Does seem like a hot prospect at the price mind.
