CC : Somerset v Durham

Wasn’t red ball though, was it? ;)
Yes but the series he's been called up for South Africa A is 3 one day/list A matches. He's not in the red ball squad as he's in the test team.

Games are 31st,2nd and 4th for the One Day games. So puts his participation for Durham in two key games into question

South Africa A one-day squad: Kyle Verreynne (capt), David Bedingham, Eathan Bosch, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi, Dayyaan Galiem, Tristan Luus, Mihlali Mpongwana, Andile Mogakane, Senuran Muthusamy , Andile Phehlukwayo, Andile Simelane, Lutho Sipamla, Codi Yusuf

South Africa A four-day squad: Neil Brand (capt), Marques Ackerman, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, Tshepang Dithole, Jean du Plessis, Patrick Kruger, Rivaldo Moonsamy, Mihlali Mpongwana, Migael Pretorius, Sinethemba Qeshile, Lutho Sipamla, Prenelan Subrayen, Beyers Swanepoel, Codi Yusuf

Well that's Bedders defs off to South Africa then. So we won't have him for the QF

Carse in for Wagner you'd suspect as the only change for Somerset?

Based on that squad I would only be making the 1 change to replace Wagner, with Carse or Drissell based on the pitch conditions. Hopefully we stick with Hogg for all our 4 remaining CC fixtures and give him a proper run.

Overseas bowler out for the rest of the season after hardly bowling a ball for us, imagine my shock. We must have the worst luck ever with overseas players.

i'd love to see Minto get a go - only bowled 5 overs in the current 2s game, but I suspect Hogg and Minto is a stretch

I suspect Drissell may play instead of Clark. Carse obviously in for Wagner
Somerset have Goldsworthy and Vaughan aside from Leach who can both bowl spin in their 14 man squad. So perhaps both may play two spinners, a good shout.

Lewis Gregory, Andy Umeed, Tom Lammonby, Tom Abell, Tom Banton, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, James Rew, Lewis Goldsworthy, Craig Overton, Kasey Aldridge, Josh Davey, Jack Leach, Jake Ball and Archie Vaughan.
I think this game sees the return of the Kookaburra ball too.
Yes I think your right, even more so the need to pick two spinners then!

It’s a ridiculous idea to use that ball, especially after seeing the results early season, you want more people to watch and enjoy cricket, if games are like early season could have the opposite effect.

You could have teams who have fought all season not been able to get a result because of how it favours the batting side far too much
