Still think Mendy is the one we'll get in. Would have liked to have both him and Simic, or even Cannon, but I think we're only in the market for one of those 3 and the Simic rumours seem to have vanished completely.

Of course I’d like two, but Mendy is actually the one I want most.

Maybe short-termism in that, but you look at his tape and he is the most natural goal-scorer of the three and it’s not even close. His penalty box movements are excellent and he has two good feet. Gets shots off early and confidently. And RLB clearly wants him.

We need to get it over the line. Simic or Cannon are the bonus ball.

I just think some are expecting 2 of those 3 to come in when I think it'll be just 1.

I like the look of Mendy, the club certainly do too, judging on the length of time this has gone on for. He's likely to be the cheapest option in terms of deal and wages over Simic (,which I think is dead) and Cannon, being on 40k a week.

We've also got Wilson now so I just can't see them bring 2 in, although I'd love it to happen.
