Sunderland fandom is a broad church and i would bet that some (not many)may have a soft spot for boro. I dont think of them at all unless we play them and even then a win a loss or a draw is just like the result against any other team in the league.Boro are like hull or leeds or barnsley to me i simply dont care either way.Now at its heart i think that they middlesbrough are not part of my conception of the north east region ,( i know they sneak in to most maps of the "North east")they belong yorkshire and for me that will always be the case!I am basically indifferent to boro as a place as, a football club and unless they are playing us i really don't think about them at all !

Is Boro a derby?
When I was born Boro was in North Yorkshire officially. I personally do think it's a Derby game. 30 miles away. I actually don't mind Boro. The Geordies I don't like. However to me it's a Derby. So is Hartlepool and Darlo if we played them What's the thoughts?
