I liked the idea of Simic but Cannon is a decent goalscorer. Kept an eye on him at Preston due to the Irish links and he did look sharp in and around the box. Hold-up play... hard to say.

What was the nature of his injury? That would be the primary concern, I would think.

While that is probably the case - Forest have just submitted £30m bids for 2 different strikers just so that they have their foot in the door and can find the best deal for either or and then choose, so it could just be us keeping our options open.

This makes a lot of sense, and perhaps an issue we've had in the past - not having enough irons in the fire and losing out on our main targets.
