Agreed, although I like to remind myself that one club gave away 10,000 (ten thousand) season tickets less than 5 years ago.

I mean there's no harm in doing that tbf.
This will be derided as a myth, like 100,00 of them signed a petition to be owned by murderous human rights abusers. So all these people clamouring for tickets, all they had to do (but didn't) was go and support their team when they weren't doing brilliantly in the Premier League.
Did they knock of 10k from attendance each game?
