Roko Simic - potential signing

Depends on where we see Wilson. If he’s left side then Mendy, Simic and Mayenda would be very good competition at CF, allowing Hemir and Rusyn to get games elsewhere possibly.
From what hes said seems like up front but if we need him to he'll fill in on either flank, Wilson, Simic and Mayenda looks good to me.

Just think if you add Mendy you have 3 strikers who want to be starting every game and you end up chopping and changing so none of them get enough of a run of games.

It’ll be a nice position be in though , considering how long we’ve gone without a recognised striker

Oh yeah for sure, honestly depends on how Wilson settles - but we arent even in a terrible position right now with mayenda, wilson and rusyn.

Obviously we want better but its probably a better situation striker wise than we've been in for a while and we clearly aren't done - can't wait to be in a position where we don't know which of our 20goal strikers will be starting ;);)

Simic and Mendy aren’t signing they are just a smoke screen from the owners for the selling of Clarke, it’s exactly the same as other transfer windows they feed us some possible news of new incoming targets then they just say they couldn’t get it sorted in time.make no mistake these are very clever business people who don’t give a flying fcuk about the support. Just wait for the fire sale of Rigg, Bellingham, Ballard and Patterson this time next year.

Absolutely incredible these conspiracy theories on here, thoroughly entertaining.

So your post was entirely over the top

Great result today. Positive links to a few quality additions. Let's see how we look when the window closes.

This. Isidor or this lad up top and we'd have won by more.

Nothing against Mayenda, I like him. He's just not ready to be the main man just yet.

It was a fantastic result today. I hope the club back that up with one or two signings for the first 11, not more players for the bench which has happened over the last few windows.

Wait till the end of the season to tell me my post was over the top. We're a better side with Calrke in it, and that's just common sense.

He wasn't up here for a medical according to a couple of lads from the Echo( Youtube) and there is interest in him from other clubs as well. We still hold an interest though apparently.
Keith downie said we are in advanced talks and he was here having face to face talks with the hierarchy this week

Interesting on here, Phil Smith saying the club want 2 forwards in before the deadline. Not necessarily centre forwards, it could be 1 winger and 1 central, or Isidor could be used wide if it is 2 centre forwards .

Aye the balloon dor was just the one that blew away for him

This has been crystal clear since Jan ‘22.

The ‘model’ isn’t ‘speculate to accumulate’ like we were lead to believe, it’s purely sell to buy. We will go absolutely nowhere under KLD’s watch. Remember, it’s a ‘5year plan’ though, so fans must be quiet while they kick that can down the road.
Yeh the squads looking really shit isn't it !!

This person seems sensible 🫣

This was always going to be the case though
With a starting 11 of cirkin, Ballard ,09 , Hume , Clarke , Bellingham , Neil , Roberts , ekwah last season , all young and worth loads and improving, it's always going to be difficult to bring in players to improve the team instantly, unless you spend millions.
Players were always likely to be brought in for the bench and gutyre.
Those players for the bench will hopefully improve - as we have seen with mayenda/mundle/triantis

That starting 11 from last season were players all worth easily 5 mil plus - unless youre spending that it's always going to be difficult bringing players in to oust them and I'm unsure how people got annoyed that this didn't happen when we didn't have millions to spend. Plus they are all quality - the manager and lack of striker (the main gripe as that's been an abomination for a while now) our main issue , not the majority of the starting 11
