20min tomorrow Clarke appreciation

The Lad has been a real asset to the team and a pleasure to watch . I am sure that most SAFC fans will want to thank him and wish him well for the future but I think special rounds of applause etc aren't really necessary. He's been with us two and a half seasons which isn't a particullarly long time and it seems clear that he's now perfectly happy to be moving on to another Club.

I am not suggesting that he is in anyway being disloyal or is anything other than a very nice lad who is a professional footballer who makes a living by playing football to the best of his abiliy for those who pay him. All members of his profession have a tendancy move between Clubs and at the tender age of 23 Jack's move to Ipswich will already be the fourth club of his senior playing career. There will no doubt be more Clubs over the years as that's how the modern game works.

I hope he will have as fond memories of SAFC as we will of him so at the moment simply saying "Thanks Jack and goodbye" seems perfectly adequate.

He’ll be a championship player this time next season.

Unless, of course, he does well enough to impress the decent PL sides and gets a move.
I think he should’ve stayed another season, but he’s rolled the dice and I wish him well.

On 20 mins i just looked up at the sky and said thanks for the memories bonny lad, bloke next to me asked who I was talking to and I had to make on I didn’t hear him
