Jack Clarke

no one knows the parameters, no paramaters have been defined. We are a club of notional business concepts which may or may not exist.

If we are trying to look slick it would be wise not to sell your best player on the cheap.
We evidently had a zero budget for transfer fees this summer mate. In fact, probably hardly anything for wages either as Isidor only arrived when this was done.

Just to check, are we still all having a meltdown or are we concentrating on all the promising talent we do have now ?
Our most promising player and by far best talent has just been sold for a bag of Haribo man. This is proof that the likes of Jobe, Ballard, Neil, Rigg etc could be auctioned off for another embarrassing fee.

Well its not though is it.
We don't know the details or the background to it all. It's all guesswork other than we value him higher than the price reported

I don't have an issue with selling lads to finance first team improvement, that assumes we reinvest, and do so wisely.

BUT selling assets cheaply is stupid. It sets a trend, and it sets out our negotiators in a way you want to avoid.

Cannot blame him short career and has to do what he thinks is best for him.
Huge step up to the premier league.
Space and time on the ball especially away from home will be on another level.
Not great business on the face of it by the club but only time will tell.
Exactly, any footballers career could end in instant. We are making a decent profit so we move on

This whole argument of us selling him "cheaply" entirely hinges on us as fans deciding that our valuations of our players are the only correct ones and are free of any kind of bias. Clearly he was not worth what we think he was if we've got to the last week of the transfer window and nobody has bid any higher than this.

Christ man he was always going to go. We waited until we got the money we (as in the club) wanted and he’s gone. It’s not just our model it’s the entire championship and up.

Let’s move and see what happens. We have unearthed some top talent and some misses but we will get there again. Haway the lads.

£15m is nothing in todays market really. It certainly won’t buy another player that has had Clarke’s impact. It would honestly be worth losing the £7.5m per season trying to get promoted and letting him go on a free if not.
What exactly is the hold up with the transfer?
Ipswich still haven’t stopped laughing.

We were never going to buy an outright replacement for Clarke expected to come straight in and take over where he left off in the first place. That's not how we operate. We'll ease some young lad into the role we picked up relatively on the cheap just like we did with Clarke himself.
