No. Look at their stats. Imo Clarke is the best player in the Championship. I’ve been watching my club for 60 years now so think I am qualified to say when I see a special player.
Clarke is a special player. We should not have sold him.

They really don’t have or need to say anything at all. The negotiations are confidential. If he’s not in the squad, it would be prudent to give some sort of explanation with minimum details though.

This. We'd have had 2 seasons to try and get promoted. If we had, Clarke would have been worth much more than £15m and would have helped the club secure a minimum of parachute payments.

£15m isn't a lot in football and personally I think we should have gambled having an extra £15m against trying to get promoted.

We aren’t in a strong position take it now or get your eyes seriously took out or even risk loosing him for free . Also like I said earlier once your start blocking quality young lads path to the premier league the will stop signing for us we will prob give them assurances we will let them move to the prem if the offer ever t when they sign people need to accept for now we are a stepping stone
