It was such a shock like. I didn’t see him doing that at the time.

I’ve heard him talk a few times about it and he definitely seems to make that the narrative. Not sure why he was camped out in a hotel a few hours after playing in the derby and contributing f all like!

But I agree that was a different level to this. Never get too attached 😂
 
Think we will get all three to be honest and Isidor will play on the left, Mendy and Simic will be the main two to pick from with Mayenda involved more from the bench.

Clarke going to Ipswich is a real head scratcher for me. More money and playing in PL yes but, Ipswich will struggle this season imo and we could be waving to him passing the other way.

Agreed. It’s not many.

Clarke going to Ipswich is a real head scratcher for me. More money and playing in PL yes but, Ipswich will struggle this season imo and we could be waving to him passing the other way.

I doubt we’ll be going up but I’m 80% certain they’ll be coming down.

they’ll be very strong in the championship..
which is why we needed to get up asap

I think it’s a good move.

He gets a year in the PL. A longer higher contract. If he excels and proves his PL quality he could get a move up the league towards European spots. If Ipswich do well then he’s playing PL the following year too. Even if they go down and he doesn’t move, he’s playing for one of the promotion favourites with the experience of the PL behind him

Ipswich’s style also suits him. Lots of quick attacks and transitions

The only real downside is that he might not cut it at PL level. In which case, he’ll have given it a go in his lower 20s, he can go to the championship, excel, and maybe get another bite later in his career

I think he’ll do well for them, as do the club obviously because we’ve got a sell on clause included 🕺

Was Capelos fault. Basically told him he wouldn't pick him for England whilst he played for us. No idea why he went to Villa though, they were worse than us at the time.
